Materials Required:
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
4 – 70 yd. skeins Black
3 – 70 yd. skeins each Cork, Yellow, Pink, Old Rose, Cerise, Turquoise, Dk. Green
Aluminum Crochet Hook Size K OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW

GAUGE: 5 sts = 2 inches; 2 Rows = 1 inch
Each Motif measures 10½ inches
24 Motifs, 4 x 6, are required.

MOTIF: Ch 26, s c in 2nd st from hook, * ch 1, skip next st of ch, s c in next st of ch, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn. 2nd ROW: S c in 1st s c, * d c in next ch 1 space, s c in next s c, repeat from * across row. 3rd ROW: S c in 1st s c, * ch 1, skip next d c, s c in next s c, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn. Repeat the last 2 rows until work measures 10 inches, cut yarn. With Black working around entire motif work 1 s c in each st across top and lower edge, 1 s c in each row on sides and 3 s c in each corner st, join, cut yarn. Work 20 more Motifs in same manner working 3 Motifs of each color. Then with yarn left over from each color work 3 more motifs in same manner working 3 rows of each color.

FINISHING: Block each Motif. With Black sew Motifs tog sewing through back loop of sts arranging colors as illustrated.
