Approximately 27 x 32 inches

MATERIALS: Chadwick's Red Heart Knitting Worsted, 16 balls (1 oz. balls) ... Bone Crochet Hook No. 6.

GAUGE: 2 patterns (2 shells and 2 sc) measure 2¾ inches.

   Starting at narrow end, ch 110 loosely to measure 26 inches. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, * skip 2 ch, 7 dc in next ch (shell made), skip 2 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * across. Ch 2, turn. 2nd row: Insert hook in front loop of next sc and pull loop through, insert hook in front loop of each of next 3 dc and pull loop through, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (half group st made); * sc in front loop of next dc, pull a loop through the front loop of each of next 3 dc, next sc and next 3 dc, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (group st made). Repeat from * across, ending with sc in front loop of next dc, pull a loop through front loops of last 3 dc and last sc, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1 to fasten (half group st made). Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: 3 dc in fastening chain of half group st below (half shell made), * sc in next sc, shell in fasten­ing chain of next group st. Repeat from * across, ending with 4 dc in top st of turning chain. Ch 1, turn. 4th row: Working in front loop of each st, make sc in 1st dc, * work a group st over next 7 sts, sc in next dc. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in top st of turning chain. Ch 1, turn. 5th row: Sc in 1st sc, * shell in fasten­ing chain of next group st, sc in next sc. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in last sc. Ch 2, turn.
   Repeat 2nd to 5th rows incl until piece measures 30 inches, ending with either the 2nd or the 4th row. Break off.

EDGING ... With right side of shells facing, attach yarn in end of starting chain. Ch 1, sc in same place where yarn was attached, * 7 dc in base of next shell, sc in base of next sc. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in last sc. Then, working along ends of rows, make ** shell in the joining of next 2 rows, sc in the joining of next 2 rows. Repeat from ** across, ending with sc in corner. Complete re­maining 2 edges to correspond. Break off.
   Pin out to measurement and press through a damp cloth.
