Chain = ch; Stitch = st; Double Crochet = dc; Treble Crochet = tr.

This pattern contains directions for a crocheted wall panel to be worked in a color or white in the lacy filet crochet or in two contrasting colors in the solid cameo crochet. It is a copy of the famous painting of Christ as a boy of 12, with the Wise Men of the Temple. The filet crochet can be done in either fine or heavy cotton; in double or treble crochet; this will determine the size and texture of panel.

FINISHING

All of the various types and sizes of wall panels can be framed but the filet ones must have an undermat of a dark color (black, brown, deep red, deep blue or purple) to bring out the design. If desired, they can be mounted on a dark-colored felt or sateen and hung from a rod.
