J. & P. COATS "KNIT-CRO-SHEEN," Art. A.64: 11 yards of No. 123-A Flamingo and 8 yards of No. 131 Fudge Brown.

Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 7.
A bone ring,  ½ inch in diameter.

1st rnd: With Fudge Brown make 28 sc closely around bone ring. Join to first sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 3, picking up front loop of each sc only, make 4 dc in same place as sl st, drop loop from hook, insert hook in top of ch-3, draw dropped loop through (pc st made), * ch 1 to fasten, skip next sc, make 5 dc in next sc, drop loop from hook, insert hook in top of first dc, draw dropped loop through (another pc st made). Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1. Join to first pc st. Break off. 3rd rnd: Picking up back loop of any sc on first rnd, attach Flamingo, ch 3, dc in each sc around. Join to top of ch-3. 4th rnd: * Ch 4, hold­ing back on hook the last loop of each tr, make tr in same place as sl st, tr in next 2 dc, thread over, draw through all loops on hook (tr cluster made), ch 4, sl st in same place as last tr was made (petal made), sl st in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join. 5th rnd: Working around each petal, * sl st in next sl st, sc in next 4 ch, 3 sc in top of cluster, sc in next 4 ch, skip next sl st. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

CORD ... Cut 2 strands of each color, each 1 yard long. Double Flamingo strands to form a loop. Draw Brown strands through Flamingo loop and double. Twist strands tightly, then double at joining and give them a twist in the opposite direction. Tie one end in a knot. Sew other end in place.
