Monogram Guest Towel Decorative Crochet Pattern TW362

MATERIALS:
J. & P. Coats Tatting-Crochet, Size 70: 2 balls of No. 16-D Shaded Peach and 1 ball of No. 12 Black, and
J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Pearl Cotton, Size 5: 1 ball of No. 124 Indian Pink.
Milward's Steel Crochet Hook No. 14.
Green guest towel.

   Make a sketch of letters desired for monogram.

INITIAL ... 1st row: With Peach, make a chain slightly longer than length desired. Working over 4 strands of Indian Pink, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Break off. 2nd row: Attach Black to first sc, sc in each sc across. Break off. Attach Black to opposite side of starting chain. Sc in each ch across. Break off. Pin sketch to towel. Sew Initials to towel over sketch.

EDGING—First Ring ... With Shaded Peach, ch 20. Join to form ring. 1st rnd: Working over 4 strands of Indian Pink make 20 sc in ring. Join and break off. 2nd rnd: Attach Black to any sc, sc in each sc around. Join and break off.

SECOND RING ... With Shaded Peach, ch 20, insert hook in last ring made, sl st in first ch of ch-20. Com­plete as for First Ring.
   Make necessary number of rings, joining as Second Ring was joined to First Ring.

HEADING ... Attach Shaded Peach to any sc on last ring made, ch 4, * (skip 1 sc, dc in next sc, ch 1) 3 times; dc in any sc on next ring, ch 1. Repeat from * across. Break off. Make another edging in same way. Sew edgings to both ends of towel.
