Washcloth Decorative Crochet Pattern TW371

MATERIALS:
J. & P. Coats Tatting-Crochet, Size 70: 1 ball of No. 154 Blended Lemon and Flame.
Milward's Steel Crochet Hook No. 14.
A green washcloth 13 inches square.

EDGING ... 1st rnd: Attach thread to any corner and sc closely around. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: * Ch 6, skip ⅜ inch on washcloth, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join. 3rd rnd: Sl st in next loop, ch 4, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 3 tr in same loop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 6, in same loop make 4-tr cluster, ch 6 and 4-tr cluster, * sc in next loop, in next loop make (4-tr cluster, ch 6) twice, and 4-tr cluster. Repeat from * around. Join. 4th rnd: * 10 sc in each of the next 2 loops, sc between next 2 clusters. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

MOTIF ... Ch 130. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 6, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * around. Join. 2nd and 3rd rnds: Work as for 3rd and 4th rnds of Edging. Sew to wash­cloth.
