With Cream make a chain slightly longer than edge of towel. 1st row: Dc in 7th ch from hook, * skip 3 ch, in next ch make dc, ch 3 and dc. Re­peat from * across, having an odd number of ch-3 sps. ROUND POT HOLDER  ... Start­ing at center, ch 6. Join to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 1, 15 sc in ring. Sl+ st in 1st sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 3, * 2 dc in each of next 2 sc (2 dc increased), dc in next sc. Repeat from * around. Join.

3rd rnd: Ch 1, sc in each st around, increasing 10 sc evenly apart. 4th rnd: Ch 3, dc in each st around, increasing 10 dc evenly apart. Repeat the 3rd and 4th rnds alternately until piece meas­ures 6½ inches in diameter, ending with an sc rnd. Break off. (More)


Crocheted Baby Blanket

Starting at narrow end, make a chain 40 inches long (11 ch sts to 2 inches). Work tr's loosely throughout. 1st row: In 5th ch from hook make 4 tr, ch 1 and 4 tr (a shell made), * skip 3 ch, sc in next ch, skip 3 ch, in next ch make 4 tr, ch 1 and 4 tr. Repeat from * across until row measures 33 inches, ending with skip 3 ch, 4 tr in next ch (half shell made at end of row). Cut off remaining chain. Toy Ball

Starting at one end with White, ch 4. 1st rnd: 9 dc in 4th ch from hook. Insert hook in top st of start­ing chain, drop White and draw through a loop of Red. 2nd rnd: With Red, ch 1, sc in same place as sl st,* 2 sc in next dc (an inc), sc in next dc. MOTIF ... 1st row: Ch 6, in 6th ch from hook make 2 dc, ch 2 and 2 dc (shell made). Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: Shell in sp of shell. Ch 5, turn. Repeat the 2nd row until there are ten ch-5 loops on one side and nine ch-5 loops on the other side. Ch 5, turn. Repeat the 2nd row until piece measures 12½ inches. Do not break off but work 85 sc evenly across long edge of Band. Turn. Hanger Cover & Sachet

Starting at one end, ch 5. Sl st in 5th ch from hook. 1st rnd: (Ch 3, sc in ring) 6 times. 2nd rnd: * Ch 3, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Re­peat the 2nd rnd until piece measures half the length of hanger. Break off. Make another piece same as this.

Insert hanger into each piece and sew loops together at center. Wind thread around metal part of hanger until covered. Sew ends securely. (More)

BACK... With Navy, cast on 52 sts. 1st row: Knit across. 2nd row: (Right side) K 1, p 1 alternately across. Re­peat the last 2 rows alternately until piece measures 10½ inches in all.

To Shape Flap ... Continuing in pattern, decrease 1 st at end of each row until 46 sts remain. Then bind off 2 sts at beginning of each row until 34 sts remain. Now bind off 4 sts at beginning of each row until 10 sts re­main. Bind off. (More)
