Single Size Spread – 72 x 108 inches – 60 balls of No. 76-A Aqua and 30 balls of No. 1 White.

Double Size Spread – 92 x 108 inches – 80 balls of No. 76-A Aqua and 40 balls of No. 1 White.

Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero).

GAUGE: Each motif measures 4 inches square and requires 6 yards of White and 12 yards of Aqua.

Starting at center with Aqua, ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 3, 19 dc in ring. Join to top of ch-3. 2nd rnd: Drop Aqua, attach White to same place as sl st, sc in same place, hereafter pick up back loop only, * 2 sc in next sc (1 sc increased), sc in next sc. Repeat from * around (30 sc). Join. 3rd rnd: Drop White, pick up Aqua, sc in same place, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc. Repeat from * around. (40 sc). Join. 4th rnd: Drop Aqua, pick up White, ch 4, (skip 1 sc, dc in next sc, ch 1) 3 times; * skip 1 sc, in next sc make (tr, ch 3) twice and tr; ch 1, (skip 1 sc, sc in next sc, ch 1) 4 times. Repeat from * around. Join. 5th rnd: Drop White, pick up Aqua, sl st in next sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, 2 dc in each of next 3 sps, * 3 dc in next sp, in next tr make tr, ch 3 and tr; 3 dc in next sp, 2 dc in each of next 5 sps. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

For Single Size Spread, make 18 rows of 27 motifs. For Double Size Spread, make 23 rows of 27 motifs. Sew motifs neatly together. Block to measurements.
