MATERIALS.—Ardern's crochet cotton No. 20 (old ticket number) or No. 40 (new ticket number). Tatting shuttle.

*Ring 1.—3 ds., 5 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 1.—4 ds., 3 p. sep. by 3 ds., A ds., r.w.
Ring 2.—3 ds., 1 p., 3 ds., join to 4th p. of previous ring, 3 ds., 3 p. sep. by 3 ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 2. —3 ds., 1 p., 3 ds., r.w.
Ring 3.—3 ds., join to 5th p, of previous ring, 3 ds., 4 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 3.—As chain 2.
Ring 4.—As ring 3.
Chain 4.—4 ds., join to 3rd p. of chain 1, 3 ds., 2 p. sep. by 3 ds., 4 ds., r.w.
Ring 5.—As ring 2.
Chain 5.—3 ds., 4 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., r.w.
Repeat from * for length required, joining 2nd p. of 1st ring to 4th p. of previous ring.
