MATERIALS REQUIRED:
DRITZ Luxury Belastraw Art. 110 or Dritz Sparkle Belastraw Art. 146, 3 tubes will make 1 place mat about 12" x 18" and a runner 12" x 24"; or 4 tubes will make 3 place mats each about 12" x 18"
DRITZ Metal Crochet Hook No. 3

GAUGE: Each motif measures about 3" x 3".

PLACE MAT

FIRST MOTIF: Ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring.
1st rnd: 8 sc in ring. Join with sl st in 1st sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 7, * sc in next sc, ch 3, tr in next sc, ch 3. Repeat from * 3 times; sc in next sc, ch 3, join with sl st in 4th st of start­ing chain.
3rd rnd: Ch 6, dc in same place as sl st, * ch 3, sc in sc, ch 3, in next tr make dc, ch 2, tr, ch 2 and dc. Repeat from * around ending with ch 3, dc in same place as 1st dc, ch 2, join with sl st in 4th st of starting chain.
4th rnd: Ch 1, in same place as sl st make sc, ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook (picot) and sc, * ch 4, in next sc make dc, picot and dc, ch 4, in next tr make sc, picot and sc. Repeat from * around joining last ch-4 with sl st in 1st sc. End off.

SECOND MOTIF: Work same as First Motif until 3rd rnd has been completed.
4th rnd: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st, ch 2, drop loop from hook, insert hook in corre­sponding picot on previous motif and pull loop through, ch 1, sc in same place as last sc, ch 4, dc in next sc, ch 2 and join to next picot on previous motif, ch 1, dc in same place as last dc, ch 4, sc in corner tr, ch 2 and join to next picot on previous motif, ch 1, sc in same place as last sc, ch 4 and complete motif same as First Motif. Join 4 x 6 motifs—where 4 corners come together, join all picots in same place.

RUNNER

Join 4 x 8 motifs same as Place Mat. Pin out to measurements given and press through damp cloth.
