If you want to make Violet trim you will need 1 ball Shaded Lavenders "DE LUXE" or "PURITAN" and 2 yds. narrow Lavender Ribbon.

VIOLET: With Shaded Lavenders ch 2, 5 s c in 2nd st from hook, join in 1st s c.

2nd Round. * Ch 3, 2 d c in same space, ch 3, sl st in same space, sl st in next s c, repeat from * twice, * ch 4, 2 tr c in same space, ch 4, sl st in same space, sl st in next s c, repeat from * once, cut thread. Work as many Violets as desired and sew to cover arranging as illus-trated. Lace 4 motifs together with ribbon as illustrated.

If you want to make Geranium you will need 1 ball Flamingo "DE LUXE" or "PURITAN" and 1 ½ yds. narrow Green Ribbon.

GERANIUM: With Flamingo ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 3 and work 14 d c in ring, join in 3rd st of ch.

2nd Round. Ch 1, 2 d c in next d c, tr c in same space, 1 tr c, 2 d c in next d c, sl st in next d c, * 2 d c, 1 tr c in next d c, 1 tr c, 2 d c in next d c, sl st in next d c, repeat from * 3 times, join, cut thread. Work 4 more flowers in same manner. Cut 5-4 inch lengths of spool wire. Twist top end of one wire into a small circle and pull opposite end through center of one flower. Pinch flower together. Finish other 4 flowers in same manner. Twist all wires together. Work as many bunches as desired and sew to cover as illustrated. Tie 3 motifs together with ribbon at corners as illustrated.

If you want to make Philodendron Leaf you will need 1 ball Kelly Green "DE LUXE" or "PURITAN" and 1 yd. narrow Red Ribbon.

PHILODENDRON LEAF: With Kelly Green ch 4, 3 s c in 2nd st from hook, 3 d c in next st of ch, 3 s c in next st, ch 1, turn.

2nd Row. Working in s c, 1 s c in each s c, working 3 s c in 1st and last s c, turn.

3rd Row. Ch 3 (counts as 1 d c), 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, 1 s c in each of the next 5 s c, 1 d c in each of the next 4 s c, ch 3, turn.

4th Row. Same as last row, ch 1, turn.

Next 3 Rows. Working in s c, decrease 1 s c at the beginning and end of each row (to decrease: * insert hook in next st, pull loop through, repeat from * once, thread over and work off all loops at one time), ch 1 to turn each row.

8th Row. Working in s c, decrease 1 s c at the beginning of row, ch 1, turn.

9th Row. Working in s c, decrease 1 s c at end of row, ch 1, turn. Repeat the last 2 rows once.

12th Row. Same as 8th row.

13th Row. Decrease in 2 remaining sts, cut thread. Work as many leaves as desired and arrange as illustrated. Tie 2 motifs together with ribbon as illustrated.
