3 Skeins FAIRKNIT Dress Chenille (mc)
2 Skeins FAIRKNIT Chen-Glow (chenille and metallic) (cc)
1 Spool FAIRKNIT Brocade
Steel crochet hook #0
FAIRKNIT Slack Bag Frame #900

JULIET CAP
Using mc, ch 3, join with sl st to form ring.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in ring. Mark beg. of rnds.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Rnd 4: *sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around.
Rnd 5: *sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * around. Continue in this manner, inc 6 sc evenly spaced every rnd until piece measures 6" in diameter, or until cap fits back of head. Work even in sc for 2½", or for desired depth of cap. Work 1 rnd sc over last rnd. Fasten off. Attach cc and work 2 more rnds sc. Fasten off. Attach Brocade and work 1 rnd sc. Fasten off.
Center and Petals: Using Brocade work same as cap for 8 rnds (48 sc on rnd). Fasten off. Attach cc, sc in next 3 sc of center. Ch 1, turn.
Row 1: Work in sc, inc 1 sc at beg and end of every row twice. Work even on 7 sc for 14 rows. Dec 1 sc at beg and end of every other row twice. Fasten off. Work 2 more petals next to 1st petal in same manner. Skip 14 sts and make 3 more petals to correspond on other side. Work 1 row sc around petals with Brocade. Sew Bro­cade center to center of cap. Arrange petals on each side and sew in place.
