5 Skeins Number 28 Rust.
3 Skeins Number 22 Yellow.
3 Skeins Number 25 Orange.
Bone Crochet Hook Number 5 or 6.
Center Mat. With Rust ch 62, about 16 inches and work 1 d c in 6th st from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 st, d c in next st, repeat from * across row, ch 4, turn, (29 meshes).
2nd Row. D c in d c, * ch 1, d c in next d c and repeat from * across row, ch 4, turn and repeat 2nd row for entire set working 2 more rows Rust, 1 row Yellow, 1 row Orange, 2 rows Rust, 1 row Orange, 1 row Rust, 2 rows Yellow, 3 rows Rust, 2 rows Orange, 1 row Rust, 1 row Yellow, 3 rows Rust, this is the center. Work other half to correspond.
The pattern is darned in by working 3 rows through each mesh lengthwise working over 1 d c and under the next and reverse the over and under in the 2nd row. Darn 2 meshes in Rust, 1 mesh Orange, 1 mesh Rust, 2 Yellow, 3 Rust, 2 Orange, 1 Rust, 1 mesh Yellow, 3 meshes Rust (this is the center) complete other half to correspond.
Plate Mat. Ch 38, d c in 6th st from hook, ch 1. skip 1 st, d c in next st and repeat from * across row ch 4, turn (17 meshes).
2nd Row. D c in next d c, * ch 1, d c in next d c and repeat from * across row and repeat 2nd row for entire mat working 2 rows Rust, 1 row Yellow, 1 row Rust, 2 rows Orange, 1 row Rust, 1 row Yellow, 3 rows Rust (center) complete other half to correspond.
Darn same as large mat working 1 mesh Rust, 1 mesh Yellow, 1 mesh Rust, 2 meshes Orange, 1 mesh Rust, 1 mesh Yellow, 3 center meshes in Rust, finish other side to correspond.
Finish all mats with a row of s c all around in Rust.
