Mesh Pouch Pattern #2006

Materials: Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet, 2 balls, size 10, White or any color desired. 5-inch Talon fastener. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 5.

The pouch is made in two pieces, which are sewn together. Beginning at bottom, ch 46 loosely, to measure about 5 inches. Turn. 1st row: D c in 6th ch from hook, ch 1, d c in same ch, * skip 1 st of foundation ch, 2 d c with ch-1 between in next st. Repeat from * to end of ch. Ch 5, turn. 2nd to 8th rows incl: 2 d c with ch-1 between, under 1st ch-1. * 2 d c with ch-1 between, under next ch-1. Repeat from * to end of row, making 2 d c with ch-1 between in turning ch loop, to increase at end of row. Ch 5, turn.

9th to 18th rows incl: Work without increasing at end of rows. Ch 4 to turn.

1st row of band: Make 1 s c between each d c, ch 1, turn. 2nd to 13th rows incl: S c in each s c. Ch 1, turn.

Make a second piece and whip together on sides. Line with white silk and sew in Talon fastener.
