Materials Required--
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED, ARTICLE W11
36--1 1/4 oz. Skeins White.
12--1 1/4 oz. Skeins Rose.
1--1 1/4 oz. Skeins each of Pink, Lt. Blue and Amber.
2--1 1/4 oz. Skeins Green for leaves.
Bone Crochet Hook No. 7.

With White, ch 199 and work 198 sc on ch, ch 2, turn.

2nd Row. Dc in same place, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, * ch 2, dc in same space, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, ch 2, turn.

3rd Row. Dc in same space, sc in ch 2 loop of next shell, * ch 2, dc in same space, sc in ch 2 loop of next shell, repeat from * across row, ch 2, turn. Repeat the 2nd row until work measures about 60 inches, ch 1, turn.

EDGE. * * 1 sc in 1st sc, * 2 sc in the ch 2 of next shell, sc in next sc, repeat from * across row, 3 sc in corner, repeat from * * on long side, 3 sc in corner, 1 sc in each st across other end, 3 sc in corner and work long side same as 1st long side, 3 sc in corner, join, ch 1.

2nd Row. 1 sc in each sc and 3 sc in center st at each corner, break yarn.

3rd Row. With Rose, join in 3rd sc from corner, ch 3, work a puff st in same space. (Puff st: yarn over needle, insert in st and pull loop up the length of a dc, * yarn over needle, insert in same st and pull loop up same length, repeat from *, yarn over and pull through all loops on needle but one, yarn over an pull through 2 loops), ch 1, skip 1 sc, puff st in next sc, repeat all around working 3 puff sts with ch 1 between each puff st in center st at each corner, break yarn.

4th Row. With White, 1 sc in top of puff st, 1 sc in ch 1 between puff sts, 3 sc in center puff st at each corner, break yarn.

5th Row. With Rose, puff st in sc over previous puff st, * ch 1, skip 1 sc, puff st in next sc over puff st, ch 1,continue all around in same manner, break yarn. Repeat the 4th and 5th rows 3 times.

12th Row. With White repeat 4th row.

13th Row. 1 sc in each sc working 3 sc in corner st at each corner.

14th Row. * Ch 3, dc in same space, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * all around, break yarn.

FLOWERS. With Rose, ch 6, dc in 1st st of ch, * ch 2, dc in same space, repeat from * twice, ch 2, join in 4th st of ch.

2nd Row. Ch 1, 1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc over each mesh.

3rd Row. * Ch 4, sc in back of work between next 2 petals, repeat from * all around.

4th Row. 1 sc, 5 dc, 1 sc over each loop.

5th Row. * Ch 5, sc in back of work between next 2 petals, repeat from * all around.

6th Row. 1 sc, 7 dc, 1 sc over each loop.

7th Row. * Ch 6, sc in back of work between next 2 petals, repeat from * all around.

8th Row. 1 sc, 9 dc, 1 sc over each loop, break yarn. Work 3 more flowers in same manner.

Work 2 more flowers in same manner working 1st 4 rows of flower in Amber.

Work 2 more flowers working 1st 4 rows in Rose and last 4 rows in Lt. Pink.

With Rose, work 4 more flowers working 1st 6 rows.

With Rose, work 1 flower working 1st 4 rows.

Work 2 flowers working 1st rows in Rose and 3rd and 4th rows in Lt. Pink.

With Lt. Pink, work 3 flowers working 1st working 1st 4 rows.

With Lt. Pink, work 3 flowers working 1st 6 rows.

Work 1 flower working 1st 4 rows in Amber, 5th and 6th rows in Lt. Pink, 7th and 8th rows in Rose.

Work 1 flower working 1st 4 rows in Amber, last 4 rows in Lt. Pink.

With Blue, work 8 flowers working 1st 4 rows.

Work 1 flower working 1st 2 rows in Amber, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th rows in Blue.

LEAF. Ch 7, sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts of ch, 3 sc in next st of ch, working on other side of ch work 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, ch 3, turn, picking up the back loop of st only, * 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, 3 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts, ch 3, turn, repeat from * 3 times, turn, sl st in each of the next 2 sc, break yarn. Work 29 more leaves in same manner. Applique flowers and leaves as illustrated, arranging colors as desired.
