Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN, Article 235
2 skeins each Lt. Yellow and Black.
1 skein Gray and
"AUNT LYDIA'S" STAR SPUN, Article 235
2 skeins #2 Silver (White with Silver Metallic) or colors of your choice.
Aluminum crochet hook size G.
Kapok or shredded foam rubber for filling.

With Lt. Yellow ch 2, 9 s c in 2nd st from hook, do not join this or following rows. Place a marker at the beginning of each row.
2nd Row. * S c in next s c, 2 s c, ch 1, 2 s c in next s c, s c in next s c, repeat from * twice.
3rd Row. * 1 s c in each of the next 3 s c, 1 s c, ch 1, 1 s c in next ch 1 space, 1 s c in each of the next 3 s c, repeat from * twice.
4th Row. * 1 s c in each of the next 4 s c, 1 s c, ch 1, 1 s c in next ch 1 space, 1 s c in each of the next 4 s c, repeat from * all around, join, cut yarn.
5th Row. Attach Black in any ch 1 space, s c in same space, ch 1, s c in same space, * 1 s c in each of the next 10 s c, 1 s c, ch 1, 1 s c in next ch 1 space, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, join, cut yarn.
6th Row. Attach Silver in any ch 1 space, ch 3, 1 d c, ch 1, 2 d c in same space, working in d c, work 1 d c in each s c and 2 d c, ch 1, 2 d c in each remaining ch 1 space, join.
7th Row. Ch 3, d c in next d c, * 2 d c, ch 1, 2 d c in next ch 1 space, 1 d c in each of the next 16 d c, repeat from * once, 2 d c, ch 1, 2 d c in next ch 1 space, 1 d c in each of the next 14 d c, join, cut yarn.
8th Row. Attach Gray in any ch 1 space, working in s c, work 1 s c, ch 1, 1 s c in each ch 1 space and 1 s c in each d c, join, cut yarn.
9th Row. Same as 6th row.
10th Row. Ch 3, d c in next d c, * 2 d c, ch 1, 2 d c in next ch 1 space, 1 d c in each of the next 26 d c, repeat from * once, 2 d c, ch 1, 2 d c in next ch 1 space, 1 d c in each of the next 24 d c, join, cut yarn.
11th Row. With Black work same as 8th row.
12th Row. With Lt. Yellow work same as 6th row.
13th Row. With Gray work same as 8th row.
14th Row. With Lt. Yellow work same as 6th row.
15th Row. With Black work same as 8th row.
Work another section in same manner.

GUSSET: With Black, ch 5, s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining st of ch, ch 1 to turn all rows.
2nd Row. 1 s c in each s c.
Repeat last row until gusset is long enough to go around the 3 sides of either section, cut yarn leaving a length for sewing. Sew short ends together. Overcast one edge of gusset to one section of pillow. Overcast other edge of gusset to other sec­tion of pillow, leaving 1 side free. Sew zipper along free edge if desired.
Fill pillow with kapok or shredded foam rubber and sew opening closed.
