
MATERIALS: J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 1 ball each of Hunter's Green and Ecru ... Steel Crochet Hook No. 4 ... A bone ring.
Use double thread throughout.
Starting at bottom with Green, ch 31. 1st row: Holding Ecru along chain and working over it in order to conceal it, with Green make sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 4 ch, insert hook in next ch and draw loop through, drop Green, pick up Ecru, thus changing color. Always change color in this manner. Working over unused color make 6 Ecru and 6 Green sc across. Ch 1, turn. 2nd to 6th rows incl: Using corresponding colors, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. 7th to 12th rows incl: Make 6 Ecru sc and 6 Green sc alternately across. Ch 1, turn. 13th to 18th rows incl: Make 6 Green sc and 6 Ecru sc alternately across. Ch 1, turn. Repeat 7th to 18th rows incl once more. Break off Ecru.
BORDER ... 1st rnd: With Green, sc closely around, making 3 sc in each corner. Join and break off. 2nd and 3rd rnds: Attach Ecru, sc in each sc around, making 3 sc in center sc of each corner.
