MATERIALS REQUIRED — American Thread Company "Star" Crochet Cotton White, Size 30, 1 Medium Ball Sillateen Sansil.

1 Ball each of Shaded Yellows and Shaded Dk. Pinks or any 2 colors desired.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or 11.

With White "Star" Crochet Cotton—Ch 10, join and work 16 s c in ring, join.

2nd Row—Ch 5, s c in next s c, *ch 5, s c in next s c, repeat from * all around (16 loops).

3rd Row—Sl st to loop, *ch 4, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around.

4th Row—Sl st to next loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, *ch 4, s c in same loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around.

5th Row—Sl st to next loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, *ch 4, s c in same loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, repeat from * all around.

6th Row—Sl st to next loop, ch 4, s c in next loop, **ch 4, s c in same loop, *ch 4, s c in next loop, repeat from * 3 times, then repeat from ** all around.

Work 5 more rows increasing in each increasing point. Break thread.

ROSES. With Sillateen Sansil, ch 22, and work 1 d c in 6th st from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 st, 1 d c in next st repeat from * across row, ch 1 turn.

Next Row—*1 s d c, 1 d c, 3 tr c, 1 d c, 1 s d c in next mesh, s c in next mesh, repeat from * 3 times, 1 s d c, 1 d c, 3 tr c, 1 d c, 1 s d c in end mesh, break thread leaving an end for sewing.

There are 10 Yellow and 9 Dk. Pink roses.

Roll the petals together and sew through the lower edge.

Cut a circle of rather heavy White material, sew it flat in the center of the White Crochet, and starting in the center sew each flower on the right side mixing the colors or having all the Yellow flowers grouped in the center. Attach a clip or safety pins in the back for fastening.
