MATERIALS.—Ardern's crochet cotton No. 20 (old ticket number) or No. 40 (new ticket number). Tatting shuttle.

*Ring 1.—3 ds., 5 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 1.—3 ds., 2 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., r.w.
Ring 2.—A ds., 1 p., join to 4th p. of previous ring, 3 ds., 6 p. sep. by 3 ds., A ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 2.—As chain 1.
Ring 3.—3 ds., 1 p., 3 ds., join to last p. of previous ring, 3 ds., 3 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 3. —3 ds., 1 p., 3 ds., r.w.
Ring 4.—3 ds., join to last p. of previous ring, 3 ds., 2 p. sep. by 3 ds., 3 ds., close ring, r.w.
Chain 4.—As chain 3.
Repeat from * for length required, joining 1st p. of 1st ring to last p. of ring (4).
