Two-color edging—suggest White and Blue.
FLOWERS … With dark color ch 12, join with sl st to form ring. * Ch 3 (to count as d c), d c in ring, ch 2, d c in ring, ch 3, s c in ring. Repeat from * 2 more times, ending with s c in 4th ch from joining. Fasten off. This completes 1 flower. 2nd flower: Make ring as for 1st flower. Ch 3, d c in ring, ch 1. Drop loop from hook, insert hook under ch-2 at center of last petal of previous flower, draw loop through, ch 1, d c in ring, ch 3, s c in ring. Complete as for 1st flower. Break off.
Make as many flowers as desired, joining each to previous one as 2nd was joined to 1st.
Holding right side of work toward you and working along lower edge of flowers (see illustration), attach light color at ch-2 at center of 1st petal, ch 7 (to count as d c and ch-4), * 3 s c in flower-ring, ch 4, d c at joining of flowers, ch 4. Repeat from * across, ending with d c under ch-2 of last petal. Ch 1, turn. Next row: * S c in d c, 4 s c under ch-4, s c in each of next 3 s c, 4 s c under ch-4 (if necessary, to keep work flat, make 3 s c occasionally under ch-4). Repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. Following row: S c in each s c across. Break off. Next row: With right side of flowers toward you, attach dark color, ch 2 and make half d c in each s c across. Fasten off.
