1st row: Ch 11; d c in 4th ch from hook, 14 d c over remaining ch, d c in last ch. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: D c in each of next 8 d c, * ch 1, d c in next d c. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: D c in 1st sp, ch 3, * 4 d c over bar of d c just made, s c in next sp, ch 3, d c in next sp. Repeat from * until 4 points are made, ch 9, skip 8 d c, s c in 3rd st of turning ch-3. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: 16 d c in ch-9 loop. Ch 3, turn. 5th, 6th and 7th rows: Repeat 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows. 8th row: Same as 2nd row. Do not turn but sl st in last point of previous group, thus joining scallop, and continue in this manner for desired length. Fasten off. Attach thread to 1st point of one long side, ch 7, * s c in next point, ch 4, d c in next point, ch 7, d c in next point, ch 4. Repeat from * across. Fasten off. Attach thread to 1st point on opposite side, and work to correspond.
