Two-color edging—suggest French Blue and Navy Blue.
WHEELS … Starting at center, with light color ch 10, join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 3, 25 d c in ring. Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3 first made. 2nd rnd: * Ch 5, skip 1 d c, s c in next d c. Repeat from * around, ending with ch-5. Join to 1st s c made (13 loops). 3rd rnd: Sl st in each of 3 ch, * ch 4, s c in next loop. Repeat from * around. Fasten off. 4th rnd: Attach dark color and make 3 s c, ch 3 and 3 s c in each loop around. Fasten off. Make another wheel, reversing colors, and join 2nd wheel to 1st wheel on 4th rnd as follows: 3 s c in loop of 2nd wheel, ch 1, s c in adjacent loop of 1st wheel, 3 s c back in same loop of 2nd wheel, and complete wheel as before. Make necessary number of wheels, alternating colors and joining each wheel to previous one as second was joined to first, having 5 free points on one side of the wheel (top) and 6 free points on opposite side.
HEADING … 1st row: Attach dark color to 5th point to the right, counting from joining at top; ch 10, * d c in next point, ch 5, s c in next point, ch 5, s c in next point, ch 5, d tr in each of next 2 points, ch 5. Repeat from * across. Ch 5, turn. 2nd row: * Skip 2 sts, d c in next st, ch 2. Repeat from * across. Fasten off.
