Materials: Clark's O.N.T. "Brilliant", 2 balls.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 10.
A Peter Pan collar and cuff set.

When completed, motif measures about 3¼ inches in diameter.

Collar Motifs (Make 2). Starting at center, ch 12. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 3 (to count as d c), 23 d c in ring. Join with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3 first made. 2nd rnd: Ch 3, d c in same place as sl st, ch 2, 2 d c in same place (shell), * ch 2, skip 2 d c; in next d c make: 2 d c, ch 2, 2 d c (another shell). Repeat from * around, ending rnd with ch 1, s c in 3rd st of ch-3 first made. 3rd rnd: * 9 d c under ch-2 of next shell, s c under ch-2 between shells. Repeat from * around. Join. 4th rnd: Sl st to 5th d c of 9-d c group, * ch 11, s c in 5th d c of next 9-d c group. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-11 with s c in same place as last sl st (8 loops). 5th rnd: In each ch-11 loop make: * ch 5, skip 2 ch, s c in next ch. Repeat from * 2 more times, ch 5, skip 2 ch, s c in s c (32 ch-5 loops in rnd). 6th, 7th and 8th rnds: Sl st to center of 1st ch-5 loop, * ch 5, s c in next loop. Repeat from * around. 9th rnd: Sl st to center of 1st loop of previous rnd, * 9 d c in next loop, s c in next loop. Repeat from * around. Fasten and break off.

Place a motif on each end of collar, as in illustration, and sew in place. Cut away linen underneath, and finish with a narrow hem.

Cords (Make 2). Measure off four 1¼ yd. lengths of thread, twist tightly, then double the twisted strands and give them a second twist in the opposite direction. Sew one cord to each end of collar at neck edge.

Crocheted Balls (Make 2). Starting at center, ch 2. 1st rnd: 10 s c in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: 2 s c in each s c around. Hereafter work s c in each s c around until piece measures ¾ inch. Stuff ball with same material, then work off 2 s c as 1 s c all around. Break off.

Sew a ball to end of each cord. This completes collar.

Cuff Motifs (Make 2). Starting at center, ch 5. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 3 (to count as d c), 14 d c in ring. Join with sl st. 2nd to 6th rnds incl: Repeat 2nd to 6th rnds incl. of collar motif, having 5 shells (instead of 8 shells) in 2nd rnd. 7th rnd: Same as 9th rnd of collar motif. Break off. Sew a motif on one end of each cuff (see illustration). Make 4 cords as before, cutting strands ¾ yd. long (instead of 1¼ yds.), and complete cuffs as for collar.
