Hairpin Lace Edging Pattern #8473
Materials:
We suggest thread in sizes 10 to 70.
Make hairpin lace for desired length. Fasten off.
HEADING … Attach thread to 1st loop of one side (taking care to keep twist of loops throughout), and make s c in each loop across. Fasten off.
SCALLOPED EDGE … 1st row: Attach thread to 1st loop, s c in next 2 loops (keeping twist of loops as before); * ch 5, s c in next 3 loops. Repeat from * across, ending with s c in last 2 loops. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: * S c in ch-5 loop, ch 4, skip 1 s c, s c in next s c, ch 4. Repeat from * across, ending with s c in 2nd s c of last 3-s c group. Ch 5, turn. 3rd row: * S c in sp preceding s c, ch 5, s c in sp following s c, ch 2. Repeat from * across. 4th row: In each ch-5 loop make 2 s c, ch 3, 2 s c, ch 3 and 2 s c. Fasten off.
