Ch 7, d c in 7th ch from hook. Ch 9, turn. 1st row: 3 tr in ch-7 loop, holding back the last loop of each tr on hook; thread over and draw through all loops on hook (a cluster), ch 7, d c in 7th ch from hook, cluster in same place as last cluster was made. Ch 9, turn. Repeat this row for desired length, ending with 2nd cluster in loop. Do not break off but (ch 7, d c in 7th ch from hook, cluster in loop where 2 clusters were made) 3 times, ** s c in ch-9 loop, ch 3, d c in 1st ch at tip of next cluster, * cluster in same loop as 2 clusters were made, ch 7, s c in 7th ch from hook. Repeat from * once more, cluster in same place as last cluster was made. Repeat from ** across, ending with s c in last ch-9 loop. Fasten off.
HEADING … Attach thread to 1st loop made, * ch 9, s c in next ch-9 loop. Repeat from * across. Fasten off.
