Aluminum crochet hook size J.

Ch 59, 1 d c in 5th st from hook, * ch 1, skip 1 st of ch, d c in next st, repeat from * 26 times, ch 4, turn. Each d c should measure about 1 inch in height.

2nd Row: Working in front loop of sts throughout, * work 2 d c in next ch 1 space, ch 1, repeat from * 26 times, ending with d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

3rd Row: 1 d c in next ch 1 space, * ch 1, skip 2 dc, 2 d c in next ch 1 space, repeat from * across row ending with ch 1, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

4th Row: 3 d c in next ch 1 space, * ch 1, skip 2 d c, 3 d c in next ch 1 space, repeat from * across row ending with ch 1, 1 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

5th Row: 1 d c in next ch 1 space, * ch 1, skip 3 d c, 3 d c in next ch 1 space, repeat from * across row ending with ch 1, d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

6th Row: *2 d c, ch 1 ,2 d c (shell), in next ch 1 space, skip 3 d c, repeat from * across row ending with ch 1, d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

7th Row: 1 d c in 1st dc,* ch 1, shell in center of next shell, repeat from * across row ending with ch 1, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

8th Row: 1 d c in 1st d c, * ch 2, shell in center of next shell, repeat from * across row, ending with ch 2, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

9th Row: Same as 8th row.

10th Row: 1 d c in 1st d c, * ch 2, 2 d c, ch 2, 2 d c in center of next shell, repeat from * across row ending with ch 2, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

11th Row: 1 d c in 1st d c, * ch 2, 2 d c in 1st st of ch at center of next shell, ch 2, 2 d c in next st of same ch, repeat from * across row ending with ch 2, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

12th Row: 1 d c in 1st d c, * ch 3, 2 d c in 1st st of ch at center of next shell, ch 2, 2 d c in next st of same ch, repeat from * across row ending with ch 3, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, ch 4, turn.

13th Row: 1 d c in 1st d c, * ch 1, s c in center st of ch 3 loop, ch 1, 2 d c in 1st st of ch at center of next shell, ch 2, 2 d c in next st of same ch, repeat from * across row ending with ch 1, s c in center st of ch 3 loop, ch 1, 2 d c in 4th st of end ch, cut yarn.

FINISHING: With right side of work toward you, attach yarn at neck edge and working across neck edge only, slip st in each st of ch, cut yarn.

Crochet a ch 44 inches in length, cut yarn.

Lace through 1st row, lacing over 1 d c and under the next d c.

TASSEL: Wind yarn over a 2 ½ inch cardboard, tie one end, cut opposite end. Sew to end of ch. Work another tassel in same manner and sew to opposite end of ch.
