Puff st in every 6th st. 10th Row. 1 row of s c increasing over every puff st. 11th Row. Puff st over puff st in 9th row. 12th Row. Same as 10th Row. 13th Row. Same as 11th Row. Repeat last 2 rows twice. 18th and 19th Rows. Work in s c increasing at each increasing point and work 1 row even. 21st Row. Increase in each increasing point and work 1 row even. Repeat last 2 rows.

BAND. Ch 121, join and work a row of s c. Work 4 more rows of s c. 6th Row. 1 puff st in each s c and work 2 rows of s c even. 9th Row. Work in s c increasing every 10th st and work 1 row even. 11th Row. 1 row of puff sts. 12th and 13th Rows. Repeat 9th and 10th rows. Sew Band and top of hat together. Around joining, work a row of puff sts and 2 rows of s c. Around lower edge of Band work a row of puff sts over 1st row of s c.
