MATERIALS REQUIRED. American Thread Company “Clover Leaf” or “Dawn” Shetland Floss.
2 Balls Buff
1 Ball Lt. Copper
Steel Crochet Hook #2

With Buff, Ch 3, 3 s c in 1st st. Do not join rows. 2nd Row. 2 s c in each st. Next 4 Rows. Increase in every 3rd st. 7th, 8th and 9th Rows. Increase in every 10th st. 10th, 11th and 12th Rows. Increase in every 9th st. 13th to 18th Rows Inclusive. Increase in every 8th st. Measure around last row, if the hat is correct head size, work even until it measures 7 inches from peak. If not large enough continue increasing in every 8th st until correct size is obtained. Turn wrong side of hat toward you and work a row of d c increasing in every 8th st. Join row and work 2 more rows of d c. With Lt. Copper work a row of s c. Make two, 2 inch pompoms, 1 Buff and 1 Lt. Copper and attach to hat in any position desired.

This Hat may also be made in “Clover Leaf” Lustre Wool.
