Materials—J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet Cotton, No. 100.

For the Large Square in Center of the Scarf—Ch 177, and make 3 rows of 57 sp each. 4th Row—28 sp, 1 bl, 28 sp, and follow the design of Plate 19. For the small squares, ch 72 and make 5 rows of 22 sp in each row, then follow the pattern of the tiny square Plate 24, allowing the five spaces each side of the figure.
