REQUIREMENTS:
YARN: 3-ounces of 3-ply Pompadour, Sport or Nylon yarn
1-ounce of white
CROCHET HOOK: 1-bone #6
11-inch Baby Dolls

BOY'S SHIRT: Starting at the neck edge, using the white yarn, make a chain of 33 sts, turn; 1 d c in 4th st from hook, * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * across remain­ing chains (46 sts). Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 1 d c in each st across row. Ch 3, turn. 3rd row: 1 d c in next 8 sts, chain 4, skip 4 sts, 1 d c in next 20 sts, chain 4, skip 4 sts, 1 d c in last 9 sts. Ch 3, turn. 4th row: 1 d c in next 8 sts, 1 d c in each of the 4- chain sts, 1 d c in next 20 sts, 1 d c in each of the 4-chain sts, 1 d c in last 9 sts. Ch 3, turn. 5th row: 1 d c in each st across row. 6th and 7th rows: Repeat 5th row. Break yarn and fasten off. SLEEVES: Tie yarn at beginning of chain 4 at under­arm, 1 s c in each of the 4 underarm sts, make 18 d c around remainder of armhole, join with a slip st to s c. Ch 3. 2nd and 3rd rounds: 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Ch 1. 4th rd: 1 s c in each st around. Join round. Break yarn and fasten off. Make the other sleeve the same way.

BOY'S PANTS: Using the color, make a chain of 52 sts; join to form a ring. 1st rd: Ch 3, 1 d c in each of the chain sts (52 sts). Join round with a slip st. Ch 3. 2nd rd: 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Ch 3. 3rd rd: 1 d c in same space as ch-3; 1 d c in each of the next 25 sts, 1 d c in next st, ch 1, 1 d c in same space; 1 d c in last 25 sts. Join with a slip st. Ch 3, turn. 4th rd: 1 d c in next 26 sts, over ch-1 space make—1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c; 1 d c in next 27 sts; over ch-1 space make—1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c; 1 d c in next st, join with a slip st to ch-3. Chain 3, turn. 5th rd: 1 d c in next st, over ch-1 space make—1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c; 1 d c in next 29 sts; over ch-1 space make—1 d c, ch 1, 1 d c; 1 d c in last 27 sts. Join with a slip st. Ch 3, turn. 6th rd: 1 d c in next 28 sts, over ch-1 space work as before; 1 d c in next 31 sts, over ch-1 space work as before; 1 d c in last 2 sts. Join round. Break yarn LEG: Tie yarn in at one of the ch-1 spaces, chain 3, skip 1 st, 1 d c in next 32 sts; join with a slip st to ch-3. Chain 3, turn. Next row: 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Ch 1. Next row: 1 s c in each st around. Join round. Break yarn. Make the other leg in the same manner.

BIB: Tie yarn to the 7th st, right of center front; 1 s c in next 14 sts. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: 1 d c in each st across row. Chain 3, turn. Repeat this last row twice more. Break yarn.

SUSPENDERS: Tie yarn to 7th st, right of center back; chain 3, 1 d c in same space. * Ch 3, turn, 1 d c in base of chain. Repeat from * 10 times more or length needed. Break yarn. Fasten off. Make the other suspender the same way. Sew a button on each side of the bib.

BOY'S CAP: Chain 4, join with a slip st to form a ring Ch 3. 1st rd: Make 17 d c into ring (18 sts). Join round. Chain 3. 2nd rd: 1 d c in same place as ch-3, 2 d c in each of the remain­ing sts (36 sts). Join round. Ch 3. 3rd rd: * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * around. Join round. Ch 3. 4th to 7th rounds inclusive: 1 d c in each st around. Join rounds. Ch 1. 8th rd: 1 s c in each st around. Join round. Ch 1. 9th row: 1 d c in next 15 sts, 1 s c in next st. Ch 1, turn. 10th row: 1 s c in first st, 1 d c in next 13 sts, 1 s c in next st. Ch 1, turn. 11th round: Make 1 row of s c all around cap. Break yarn. With white make a pompom for top of hat.

SHOES: Make a chain of 20 sts. Join to form a ring. Ch 3. 1st rd: 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Ch 3. 2nd rd: 1 d c in next 8 sts, 3 d c in each of the next 2 sts, 1 d c in next 9 sts. Join round. Ch 3. 3rd rd: 1 d c in each st around. Break yarn, leaving 5-inches. Sew together for sole part. Run white yarn or ribbon thru top and tie on doll's foot.

GIRL'S CAP: Chain 5, join with a slip st to form a ring. Ch 3. 1st rd: Make 17 d c into ring. Join round. 2nd rd: Ch 3, 1 d c in same place, 2 d c in each st around. Join round. 3rd and 4th rounds: Ch 3, * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * around. Join rounds. 5th and 6th rds: Ch 3, 1 d c in each st around. Join rounds. 7th rd: Ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 2 sts, * work off the next 2 d c as 1 st (a decrease); 1 d c in each of the next 3 sts; repeat from * around. Join round. 8th rd: Ch 3, work as 7th round having 2 sts between decrease. Join round. 9th rd: Ch 1, * 1 s c in next 6 sts, skip next st; repeat from * around. Join round. 10th rd: Ch 1, 1 s c in each st around. Join round. Break yarn and fasten off. Make a white pompom for cap.

GIRL'S BLOUSE: Follow directions for boy's shirt.

GIRL'S SKIRT: Using the color, make a chain of 53 sts. Turn. 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each of the remaining sts (52 sts). Ch 1, turn. 2nd-3rd-4th rows: 1 s c in each st across row. Ch 3, turn. 5th row: * 2 d c in next st, 1 d c in next st; repeat from * across row. Ch 3, turn. 6th row: Repeat 5th row. 7th row: 1 d c in each st across row. Join with a slip st to ch-3. Ch 3, turn. 8th to 12th rounds inclusive: Repeat 7th row. Break yarn and fasten off.

SUSPENDERS: Work the same as the boy's, making them a little longer.

SHOES: Follow directions as on boy's.

PANTIES: Using the color, make a chain of 50 sts, join with a slip st. Ch 3. 1st rd: 1 d c in each chain (50 sts). Join round. Ch 3. 2nd rd: 1 d c in each st around. Join round. Ch 3. 3rd-4th-5th rounds: Repeat 2nd round. 6th row: 1 d c in next 8 sts, ch 3, turn. 7th-8th-9th rows: Repeat 6th row. Break yarn, leaving 5-inches. Sew crotch piece to other side, leaving 16 sts open for each leg. Tie in white yarn at one leg opening and make 26 d c around leg opening. Join round. Break yarn. Do the same around 2nd leg opening. Make 1 row of s c around top of panties. Run a piece of yarn thru first row and tie onto doll.
