MATERIALS:
Same as for No. 1826 below.

When using Knit-Cro-Sheen, use double strands.
When using Baby Wool, use single strand.

Starting at center, ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 1, make 18 sc in ring. Join with sl st in 1st sc. 2nd rnd: Ch 5, 2 dc in same place as sl st (corner), * (ch 1, skip 1 sc, dc in next sc) twice; ch 1, skip 1 sc, in next sc make 2 dc, ch 2 and 2 dc (corner). Repeat from * once more, (ch 1, skip 1 sc, dc in next sc) twice; ch 1, dc in base of starting chain. Join with sl st in 3rd st of starting chain. 3rd rnd: Sl st in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, in same sp make sc, ch 1 and sc (corner), ** sc in next 2 dc, * sc in next sp, sc in next dc. Re­peat from * across to next corner, sc in next 2 dc, in ch-2 sp make sc, ch 1 and sc (corner). Repeat from ** around ending with sc in last dc, sc in top st of ch-3. Join. 4th rnd: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 5, 2 dc in same sp (corner), ** work along side as follows: * Ch 1, skip 1 sc, dc in next sc. Repeat from * across to next ch-1 sp; ch 1, in ch-1 sp make 2 dc, ch 2 and 2 dc. Repeat from ** around ending with ch 1, dc in base of starting chain. Join.

Repeat 3rd and 4th rnds alternately until piece meas­ures 30 inches from corner to corner along edge, ending with the 3rd rnd. Do not break off but work ruffle as follows: 1st rnd: * Ch 4, sc in next sc. Repeat from * around. 2nd rnd: * (Ch 4, sc in next loop) 6 times; ch 4, in next loop make 4 sc with ch 4 between (a 3-loop group made). Repeat from * around. 3rd rnd: * Ch 4, sc in next loop. Repeat from * to center loop of next 3-loop group; in center loop make 4 sc with ch 4 between. Continue thus around. Break off.

CORD ... Cut 4 strands each 50 inches long. Twist tightly, then double the twisted strands and give them a second twist in the opposite direction. Knot loose end. Place Fascinator on head with a point to the front. Put a pin in Fascinator at base of back of neck. Run Cord in and out of holes straight across in line with pin.

TASSEL (Make 2) ... Wind yarn 30 times around 3 fingers of left hand. Break yarn. Slip strands off fingers, pass a double piece of yarn through strands and tie at top. Wind yarn several times around near top and tie. Cut loops at bottom and trim. Fasten to ends of Cord.
