Make the pocket with thumbs as per the easy instructions. They are comfortable to work with and so simple to make.
Directions are given for "STAR" Cotton Yarn and "STAR" Rug Yarn. "AUNT LYDIA" Heavy Rug Yarn is given in parenthesis.
Work 16 (12) s c around thumb opening and without joining rows work 6 (3) more rows even.
Next Row. Decrease 4 (3) sts evenly spaced, then work 2 (1) rows even. Decrease every other st until 5 (3) sts remian, break yarn leaving an end. Thread into neele and draw together, fasten firmly.
FRONT SECTION: With Red ch 7 (5), 2 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each of the next 3 (1) sts of ch, 2 s c in each of the next 2 sts of ch, ch 1 to turn all rows. (More)
