J. & P. COATS KNIT-CRO-SHEEN, 16 balls of White or Ecru, or 20 balls of any color.
or
CLARK'S O.N.T. LUSTERSHEEN, 12 skeins of White or Ecru, or 16 skeins of any color.
MILWARD'S Steel Crochet Hook No. 6.

GAUGE … Each motif measures about 3½ inches from side to side when blocked. Completed tablecloth measures about 70 x 92 inches.

MOTIF … Starting at center, ch 6, join with sl st. 1st rnd: Ch 5, * d c in ring, ch 2. Repeat from * 4 more times, join to 3rd st of ch-5. 2nd rnd: Ch 4, 2 tr in same place as sl st, * ch 2, tr in next sp, ch 3, sl st in last tr, ch 2, 3 tr in next tr. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-2 with sl st to 4th st of ch-4. Now pick up only the back loop of each tr throughout. 3rd rnd: Ch 4, tr in same place as sl st, * tr in next tr, 2 tr in next tr, ch 7, 2 tr in next tr of 3-tr group. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-7 to 4th st of ch-4. 4th rnd: Ch 4, tr in same place as sl st, * tr in next 3 tr, 2 tr in next tr, ch 4, skip 3 ch of ch-7, s c in next ch, ch 3, s c in same place, ch 4, 2 tr in next tr. Repeat from * around. Join last ch-4 to 4th st of ch-4 first made. Fasten off. This completes one motif.
   Make necessary number of motifs (see diagram). Sew the tr-groups together with neat over-and-over stitches, picking up a single loop from each tr. Block cloth to measurements given.
