Materials Required—
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "STAR" COTTON YARN, ARTICLE 75 OR "STAR" RUG YARN, ARTICLE 44
1 skein Green.
1 skein Yellow.
1 skein White will make all three potholders.
Steel Crochet Hook No. 0.

With Green, ch 2, 8 s c in 2nd st from hook, join.
2nd Row—Ch 1, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in same space, (corner) * 1 s c in next s c, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in next s c, repeat from * twice, 1 s c in next s c, join in 1st s c.
3rd Row—Sl st to corner loop, work 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in each corner loop and 1 s c in each st on sides, join in 1st s c.
Repeat the 3rd row having 2 more sts on each side each row until there are 15 sts between corner loops, break yarn.
Next Row—Attach White in corner loop, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in same space, * 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, yarn over 4 times, pick up entire center s c at side of 4th row of Green and work off all loops on needle 2 at a time (tr tr c), skip the s c at back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in next corner loop, repeat from * all around in same manner, join in 1st s c.
Next Row—Ch 1, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in corner loop, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 tr tr c over 4th st at side in 5th row, skip the s c in back of the tr tr c, 1 s c in next st, 1 tr tr c over the 6th s c in 5th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, repeat from beginning all around in same man­ner, join, break yarn.
Next Row—Attach Yellow in corner loop, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in same space, * 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 tr tr c in 4th s c of 6th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 3 sts, 1 tr tr c in 8th s c of 6th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in next corner loop, repeat from * all around in same manner, join.
Next Row—Ch 1, * 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in next corner loop, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 tr tr c in 4th s c of 7th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 5 sts, 1 tr tr c in 10th s c of 7th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, repeat from * all around, join, break yarn.
Next Row—Attach White in corner loop, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in same space, * 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 tr tr c over 4th s c of 8th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 tr tr c in 12th s c of 8th row, skip the s c in back of tr tr c, 1 s c in each of the next 7 s c, 1 s c, ch 2, 1 s c in next corner loop, repeat from * all around in same manner, join.
Next Row—Same as 3rd row, break yarn.
Next 2 Rows—With Green work same as last row.
Next Row—Work 2 sl sts in each corner loop and 1 sl st in each s c, break yarn.
RING: Over bone ring, with Green, work 17 s c, join, break yarn. Sew in position.
