Pixie Fringe Hat

This Hat and Bag can be made with:
“GEM” HAT and BAG YARN, Article 144.
2 skeins Red or any color desired for hat.
4 skeins Red for bag.
5 skeins will make entire set.
Aluminum crochet hook size G.

HAT

Ch 5, join to form a ring, ch 1 and work 8 s c in ring, do not join this or following rounds. Place a marker at the beginning of each round.

2nd and 3rd Rounds. * 1 s c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * all around.

4th Round. * 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * all around. Work 1 round even.

6th Round. Working in s c, increase in every 4th st. Work 1 round even.

8th Round. Increase in every 5th st (36 sts), Work 1

round even.

10th Round. Increase in every 3rd st. Work 1 round even.

12th Round. Increase in every 6th st. Work 1 round even.

14th Round. Increase in every 7th st. Work 4 rounds even.

19th Round. Increase in every 16th st. Work 2 rounds even.

22nd Round. Increase in every 17th st. Work 4 rounds even.

27th Round. Sl st in each st, join, cut yarn.

TASSEL: Wind yarn 10 times over a 2 ½ inch cardboard cut one end, tie in center, then tie about ½ inch down from top. Trim tassel. Work 2 more tassels in the same manner. Sew to hat as illustrated.
