We suggest thread in sizes 20 to 60.
* Ch 15, s c in 15th ch from hook, 10 s c in loop. Repeat from * 3 more times, drop loop from hook, insert hook in 1st s c made on 4th loop from hook; *** 13 s c in loop, ch 5, 13 s c in next loop, ch 2, d c in next loop; ** ch 15, s c in 15th ch from hook, 10 s c in loop. Repeat from ** 3 more times; drop loop from hook, insert hook in 1st s c made on 4th loop from hook. Repeat from *** across for desired length, making ch-5 (instead of ch-2 and d c) at end. Do not break off, but work along side where ch-loops appear as follows: * 13 s c in next loop, ch 5, 13 s c in next loop, 3 sl sts in d c-bar. Repeat from * across. Fasten off. Attach thread to 1st ch-5 loop on one long side, ch 7 (to count as d tr and ch-2), in same loop make 8 d tr with ch-2 between; in each ch-5 loop across make 9 d tr with ch-2 between. Fasten off. Work in same manner across opposite side.
