Materials: Clark's O.N.T. or J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet, 4 balls of 55 Navy Blue, 4 balls of Ecru, 1 ball of 126 Spanish Red, size 10. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 5 or 6. 9-inch Talon slide fastener.

Entire bag is made of s c, using thread double. With Blue, ch 92, turn. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook, s c in each st across, ch 1, turn. 2nd row: S c in each st across, ch 1, turn. Continue as for 2nd row, making 7 more rows of Blue, 4 rows of Ecru, 2 rows of Red, 2 rows of Ecru, 2 rows of Red, 4 rows of Ecru, 6 rows of Blue, 4 rows of Ecru, 2 rows of Red, 2 rows of Blue, 2 rows of Red, 4 rows of Ecru, 6 rows of Blue, 4 rows of Ecru, 2 rows of Red, 2 rows of Ecru, 2 rows of Red, 4 rows of Ecru, 9 rows of Blue. Fasten off.

Fold through center, with stripes running vertically and join sides with a row of s c using Blue. Around top of bag, work 2 rows of s c with Blue. Sew in Talon slide fastener.
