Materials: Clark's O.N.T. Knitting and Crochet Cotton, 2 balls, 106 Sport Green; or J. & P. Coats Crochet Cord, 6 balls. Milward's steel crochet hook No. 4. Eight-inch slide fastener.

Ch 67, turn. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook, s c in each st of foundation ch. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: S c in each of 3 sts, ** make a nub. (To make nub, thread over hook, draw a loop through next st, * thread over hook, draw another loop through the same st, repeat from * 2 more times, then take off all loops on hook at same time). S c in each of 2 sts, repeat from ** across. End row with s c in each of 3 sts. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: S c across, ch 1, turn.

Alternate 2nd and 3rd rows until there are 16 rows of nubs, then work 2 rows same as 3rd row. Next row: Work same as 2nd. (This makes nubs on reverse side of piece). Work as before, making 12 rows of nubs, and ending with a row of s c. Make another piece the same. Turn down flaps just to cover the 2 rows of s c and whip ends of flaps together. Sew pieces together across lower edge and up sides to lower edge of flap. Line bag and sew in slide fastener at the 2 rows of s c.
