Belt. Starting at one end, ch 21, turn. 1st row: S c in 2nd ch from hook, s c in each ch across. Ch 4, turn. 2nd row: * Skip 1 s c, d c in next s c, ch 1. Repeat from * across, ch 2, turn. 3rd row: * Skip ch-1 sp, s c in next d c, ch 1. Repeat from * across. Ch 2, turn. 4th to 13th rows incl: * Skip ch-1 sp, s c in next s c, ch 1. Repeat from * across. Ch 2, turn. 14th row: * Skip ch-1 sp, s c in next s c, ch 1. Repeat from * across. Ch 4, turn. 2nd to 13th rows incl. constitute the pattern. Work in pattern, being careful to keep edges straight, until belt measures desired length. Break off. Sew slide to one end as in illustration.
Collar. Starting at one end, ch 30, turn, and work as for belt until piece measures 6½ inches. Break off. Make another piece same as this. Sew the 2 pieces together at one corner. Sew on a set of fasteners as in illustration.
