Required yardage is specified for each design.
Choose one of the following threads in size 5:
Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet.
J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet.
J. & P. Coats Big Ball Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet.
Clark's Big Ball Mercerized Crochet.

Materials: About 32 yds. are required for 1 curtain pull.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 6.

Medallion. Starting at center, ch 8, join with sl st to form ring; ch 10 and join with sl st to 1st st of ch-10 just made, to form a second ring over the first. 1st rnd: Ch 1 and, working over both ch-10 rings, make 15 s c in double ring. Join with sl st. 2nd rnd: Ch 5 (to count as tr), * make 1 tr in each of next 2 s c, leaving the last loop of each tr on hook; then thread over and work off 2 loops at a time until all loops are worked off; ch 5, d c in same s c as last tr was made, d c in each of next 2 s c, leaving the last loop of each d c on hook as before; then thread over and work off 2 loops at a time until all loops are worked off; ch 5, tr in same s c as last d c was made, and repeat from * around, ending rnd with ch-5 and sl st at tip of 1st tr-group (4 tr-groups and 4 d c- groups, with ch-5 between each group in rnd). 3rd row: Ch 3, s c in ch-5, ch 3, s c at tip of next d c-group, ch 3, s c in next ch-5, ch 3, s c at tip of next tr-group, turn. 4th row: Sl st to center of 1st ch-3 loop, (ch 3, s c in next loop) 3 times, turn. 5th row: Sl st to center of 1st ch-3 loop, (ch 3, s c in next loop) twice, turn. 6th row: Sl st to center of 1st ch-3 loop, ch 5, s c in next loop. Break off. Attach thread at tip of tr-group where last of 4 ch-3 loops was made and work as for side just completed. Work in the same manner on remaining sides. Then make 2 s c in each ch-3 loop around and in each ch-5 loop make: 2 s c, ch 5, 1 s c, ch 5, 1 s c, ch 5, 2 s c. Break off.

Tassel. Same as Tassel for No. 908.

Cap. Ch 5, sl st to form ring. 1st rnd: Ch 1, 11 s c in ring. 2nd and 3rd rnds: S c in each s c around. 4th rnd: Ch 3 (to count as d c), d c in next s c, * ch 2, d c in each of next 2 s c. Repeat from * around. 5th and 6th rnds: S c in each d c and in each ch around. 7th and 8th rnds: * S c in each of next 3 s c, skip next s c. Repeat from * around. Break off. Slip cap over tassel and sew in place.

Cord (above medallion). Ch 82. S c in 42nd ch from hook, * ch 3, skip 3 ch, s c in next ch. Repeat from * to end of chain. Sew this end of cord to center ch-5 of one point of medallion.

Cord (between tassel and medallion). Ch 26, turn. S c in 2nd ch from hook, s c in each ch across. Then, working on opposite side of foundation chain, s c in each s c across. Sew one end of cord at lower tip of medallion and the other end at tip of cap.
