Materials Required—AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DAWN" KNITTING WOOL or "DAWN" KNITTING WORSTED
5-1¼ oz. Skeins Dark Sea Green are required for bag.
1-1¼ oz. Skein Dark Sea Green is required for beanie.
1-1¼ oz. Skein White is sufficient for trim for bag and beanie.
Bone Crochet Hook No. 5 or 6.
8 Bone Rings.

SHOULDER BAG. With Dk. Sea Green, ch 62 and work 61 s c on ch, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row. S c in 1st s c, * ch 1, skip next s c, s c in next s c, repeat from * across row, ch 1, turn.
3rd Row. S c in ch of previous row, * ch 1, s c in next ch of previous row, repeat from * across row, ch 1, s c in last s c.
Repeat 3rd row until piece measures 20 inches, then work 1 s c in each s c and ch, break yarn. Sew bag together at sides.
SHOULDER STRAPS. Ch 4 and work 3 s c on ch, ch 1, turn.
2nd Row. S c in 1st s c, ch 1, skip next s c, s c in next s c, ch 1, turn.
3rd Row. S c in ch of previous row, ch 1, s c in last s c, ch 1, turn.
Repeat 3rd row until strap measures 36 inches or length desired, break yarn. Work another strap.
Sew rings in position at top of bag. Lace strap through rings on one side and sew ends in position. Lace other strap through rings on opposite side and sew in position (to close bag, draw straps from opposite ends). Finish with pom-poms as illustrated.
6 pom-poms are required for bag.
BEANIE. With Dk. Sea Green, ch 5, join to form a ring. Join each row. Work 8 s c into ring.
2nd Row. Ch 1, work 2 s c in each s c.
3rd Row. * 2 s c in 1st st, 1 s c in next st, repeat from * all around.
4th Row. Increase in every 3rd st.
5th Row. Increase in every 4th st.
6th Row. Increase in every 5th st.
7th Row. Increase in every 6th st.
8th Row. Increase in every 7th st.
9th Row. Increase in every 8th st.
10th Row. Increase in every 9th st.
Work 9 rows even, break yarn.
POM-POMS. Wind 18 strands over 3 fingers, tie around center, trim and comb into shape. 16 pom-poms are required for beanie.
