Threads suggested for Nos. 713-716: American Thread Company "Silkine" or "Star" Six Cord Mercerized Crochet Cotton sizes 30 to 50 White or Colors. "Gem" 3 Cord Mercerized Crochet Cotton sizes 30 to 50, White or Colors.
Make a ch a little longer than length required for doily.
1st Row. * Skip one st, 1 sl st in each of the next 2 sts, 1 s c in each of the next 2 sts, 1 d c in each of the next 2 sts, skip 3 chs, 1 s c in next st, ch 5, skip 4 chs, 1 s c into next ch, ch 7, repeat from * to end of row.
2nd Row. Sl st into top of point, * ch 4, sl st into 1st st of ch for picot, repeat from * twice, sl st into point, ch 6, 2 s c into 5 ch loop, ch 3, 2 s c in same loop, ch 6, sl st into next point and repeat from * to end of row.
HEADING. 1st Row. 4 s c into each loop of 4 ch and ch 5 over each loop of 3 chs.
2nd Row. Skip first s c, 1 s c in next st, * ch 3, 1 s c into next st, ch 5, 3 tr c worked off together in 5 ch loop, ch 5, 1 s c in 2nd s c, repeat from * to end of row.
3rd Row. 1 s c with ch 7 between in top of each group of tr c.
4th Row. 2 groups of 2 d c with ch 3 between groups over each 7 ch loop. Work a row of s c around doily and attach lace.
