Tri-Colored Stripe Chair Set Pattern #7097

Materials: J. & P. Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen, 2 balls of Maroon, and 1 ball each of Beige and French Rose.
Milward's steel crochet hook No. 5 or 6.

When completed, head rest measures about 25 inches wide and 12 inches at deepest point. Each arm piece measures about 7½ x 9 inches.

Chair back is made of individual pieces which are then sewed together.

Head Rest. Center Stripe: Starting at long side, with Maroon make a chain 14 inches long. 1st row: S c in 1st ch, * d c in next ch, s c in next ch. Repeat from * across for 12 inches, ending with s c. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 3, turn. 2nd row: Skip 1st s c, * s c in next d c, d c in next s c. Repeat from * across, ending with d c in last sc. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: S c in 1st d c, * d c in next s c, s c in next d c. Repeat from * across, ending row with s c in turning ch-3. Ch 3, turn. Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows alternately until piece measures 5 inches wide. Break off. Then, with Maroon, make 2 sections, each 4 inches long and 2½ inches wide. Then, with Beige, make 1 section 10 inches long, another 8 inches long and a third 6 inches long, having each section 2½ inches wide. With French Rose make 3 sections exactly like Beige sections. Sew sections together, on wrong side, as in illustration.

Arm Pieces. With Maroon, make a section 9 inches long and 2½ inches wide. Then make 2 sections, each 7 inches long and 2½ inches wide, using French Rose for one and Beige for the other.

Sew sections together on wrong side, having Maroon in center. Make another arm piece same as this one, but reversing order of colors of outer sections.
