Piece of felt, 9 inches in diameter … Sequins and beads … Snap fasteners … Elastic thread.

   Starting at center, ch 4. 1st rnd: 15 dc in 4th ch from hook. Sl st in 4th ch of ch-4. 2nd rnd: Ch 4, * dc in next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join. 3rd rnd: Ch 3, * 2 dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join. 4th rnd: Ch 4, * skip 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join. 5th and 6th rnds: Repeat 3rd and 4th rnds. 7th rnd: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, * 2 dc in next ch-1 sp. Repeat from * around. Join. 8th rnd: Repeat 4th rnd. 9th to 12th rnds incl: Repeat 7th and 4th rnds alternately. 13th rnd: Repeat 3rd rnd. 14th rnd: Repeat 4th rnd. 15th rnd: Ch 1, 2 sc in each ch-1 sp around. Join and break off.
   Sew crocheted piece to felt, allow­ing edge to extend ⅛ inch beyond last rnd of crochet. Pink edge of felt circle. Lay a ruler across center of outside of case and mark center line with pins, 1 inch in from each edge. Sew the two halves of a snap fas­tener, 2½ inches apart, 1¼ inches on each side of a pin mark. Sew second snap fastener in same manner at opposite pin mark. Close snap fas­teners. With sequins and beads, deco­rate one remaining section of case as illustrated. Sew snap fastener ¾ inch in from edge at center of re­maining section on felt side to close case. With 3 strands of elastic thread, make a chain 19 inches long. Join. On felt side of case, lay chain 1¼ inches in from edge. Sew chain to felt at various intervals, leaving spaces for spools of thread, thimble and scissors, and various small items.
