COATS & CLARK'S O.N.T. "SPEED-CRO-SHEEN" MERCERIZED COTTON, Art. C.44: 3 balls of No. 46-A Mid Rose and 1 ball of No. 1 White. A few yards each of No. 126 Spanish Red, No. 48 Hunter's Green, No. 131 Fudge Brown and No. 12 Black.

CLARK'S O.N.T. COTTON RUG YARN, Art. B.204: 1 ball of No. 206 Dk. Yellow. A few yards of No. 428 Autumn Glow.

Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 2/0 (double zero).

¼ yard red felt for lining and scraps of white, black, grey and blue felt for eyes...2 blue buttons; 3 black sequins and 4 small sequins; 3 white beads; 32 rhinestones...5 bone rings.

S-689 . . . Work as for Funny Face I, S-688 until Head has been completed. Then make hat the same way, using Black instead of Hunter's Green. Make a mouth as before. Cut 2 eyes of blue felt and sew in place with sequins and beads; embroider eyebrows with Black.

PIPE . . . With Fudge Brown, ch 11. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: 2 sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc. Ch 1, turn. 4th row: Skip first sc, sc in next 4 sc, skip next sc, sl st in last sc. Break off. Sew in place. Attach a scrap of grey yarn for smoke. Complete Pot Holder as Funny Face I, S-688.
