¼ yard red felt for lining and scraps of white, black, grey and blue felt for eyes...2 blue buttons; 3 black sequins and 4 small sequins; 3 white beads; 32 rhinestones...5 bone rings.

S-690 . . . Work as for Funny Face I, S-688 until Head has been completed.

HAT . . . With White make a chain 5 ½ inches long. 1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. 2nd to 7th rows incl: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Break off at end of 7th row. Sew hat to head.

MOUTH . . . With Spanish Red, ch 20. 1st row: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in next 3 ch, sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn. 2nd row: Sl st in next 3 sc, sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. 3rd row: Sl st in next 3 sc, sc in next 5 sc, ch 4, skip 4 sc (mouth opening), sc in next 2 sc. Ch 1, turn. 4th row: Sl st in next sc, sc in next sc, 4 sc in next sp, sc in next 5 sc, sl st in sl st. Break off. Sew a small piece of white felt under mouth opening. Sew mouth in place. Cut 2 circles of white felt, 1 ¼ inches in diameter for eyes. Cut 2 triangles of black felt for eyebrows. Sew in place. Sew buttons in place for eyes. Complete as Funny Face I, S-688.
