3 tubes of Main Color, 1 tube of Contrasting Color.
DRITZ Steel Crochet Hook No. 0 (Zero).
DRITZ Bag Lining No. 752. 15 dozen beads to match contrasting color.
21" Millinert Wire.

GAUGE: 4 1/2 sts make 1".

BEST BEAU BAG--No. 805

Starting at bottom with Main Color, ch 4. Join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: 8 sc in ring.

2nd rnd: 2 sc in each sc (16 sc). Mark last st of each rnd.

3rd rnd: * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc. Repeat from * (24 sc).

4th rnd: * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc. Repeat from * (30 sc).

5th rnd: * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc. Repeat from * (36 sc).

6th to 15th rnds: Sc in each sc increasing 6 sc on each rnd (96 sc on 15th rnd).

16th rnd: Clamp wire to form a circle. Working over wire, * insert hook in next sc and pull loop through, y o, through 1 loop, insert hook in same sc and pull loop through, y o, through 3 loops. Repeat from *. Work up side as follows:

1st rnd: Working in back loops only make sc in each sc.

2nd to 11th rnds: Sc in each sc.

12th rnd: Sc in each sc, then mark this round with a colored thread. Flounce will be worked on this rnd later.

13th to 23rd rnd: Sc in each sc.

24th rnd: Repeat 12th rnd.

25th to 35th rnds: Sc in each sc.

36th rnd: Repeat 12th rnd.

37th to 40th rnds: Sc in each sc. End off.

FLOUNCES: Work 1st rnd same as ridge of Hat No. 792. With Contrasting Color work 2nd rnd of ridge of Hat No. 792 increasing 22 sc (118 sc). Work 4 more rnds straight. Measure off 4 rnds of Belastraw beyond last sc. Break off. String 59 beads on this strand. Work one more rnd of sc, pushing up 1 bead in every other sc. End off. Make flounces on other marked rnds. Mount on DRITZ Bag Lining No. 752.
