Materials Required:

BAG No. 797
DRITZ Belastraw Art. No. 110,
2 tubes of Main Color, 1 tube of Contrasting Color.
DRITZ Steel Crochet Hook No. 1.
DRITZ Bag Lining No. 786 (Zipper Top).
DRITZ Ornamental Zipper Pull.
17" of Millinery Wire.

GAUGE: 5 sc make 1".

FLEUR DE LYS BAG--No. 797

BOTTOM: With Main Color work same as Bag No. 779 until wired edge is completed. Work up side as follows:

1st rnd: Sc in back loop of each sc inceasing evenly to 96 sc.

2nd rnd: Sc in each sc. Repeat 2nd rnd until Side measures 7 1/4" from wired edge. End off. Mount on DRITZ Bag Lining No. 786.

CUFF-(make 2): With Contrasting Color ch 46.

1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each remaining sc (45 sc). Ch 1, turn.

2nd row: Skip 1st sc, sc in each remaining sc (1 sc dec). Ch 1, turn.

3rd row: Repeat 2nd row. Drop Contrasting Color.

4th row: Attach Main Color in 1st sc of last row, ch 1, sc where yarn was attached, * sc in next 4 sc, insert hook in base of sc 2 sts back and 1 row down and pull loop through, insert hook in base of sc directly below 2 rows down and pull loop through, skip 2 sc, insert hook in base of next sc 1 row down and pull loop through, y o and draw through all 5 loops on hook (a flower st made), skip the sc behind the flower st. Repeat from *. End off.

5th to 8th rows: Repeat 2nd row.

9th row: With right side facing repeat 4th row.

10th to 19th rows: Repeat 5th to 9th rows twice.

20th and 21st rows: Repeat right side facing attach Contrasting Color in end of 1st row, ch 1, sc in same place where yarn was attached, * insert hook in end of next row and pull loop through (y o, through 1 loop), 4 times; y o, through 2 loops, sc in end of next row. Repeat from * along 3 sides of cuff. Then work sc along top edge. Work 1 more row of knots as before. End off. Sew cuffs to edge of bag.

HANDLE: With Contrasting Color, ch 7.

1st row: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch. Ch 1, turn.

2nd row: Sc in each sc. Ch 1, turn. Repeat 2nd row for 20". End off. Sew ends of Handle in place.

Fasten DRITZ Ornamental Zipper Pull with a 4" chain.
