Each square measures about 10½ inches. 24 squares 4 x 6 are required for rug measuring about 46 x 74 inches.

With White Rug Yarn and No. 6 Needle, ch 67, 2 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining st of ch, working 2 s c in last st, ch 1 to turn each row.
2nd Row. Working in s c, increase 1 s c at the beginning and end of row. Work next 15 rows same as last row. Work even in s c until work measures 33½ inches from beginning. (More)
With Cream, ch 100, work 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each remaining st of ch, * ch 1, turn and work 1 s c in each s c, repeat from * until work measures about 30 inches (148 rows) then work a row of s c all around, having 3 s c in each corner, 148 s c on each long side, 98 s c on each short side, break yarn. Work 2 more sections in same manner. Sew the 3 sections together on long side making 1 long rug. (More)

2nd Row. Ch 1, turn, 1 s c in 1st d c, 1 d c in next s c, * 1 s c in next d c, 1 d c in next s c, repeat from * 23 times. Repeat 2nd row 66 times or until work measures about 25½ inches. Do not break yarn. (More)

Work 12 small circles.
Oval. Ch 54, (ch should measure about 13½ inches) 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each of the next 51 sts of ch, 3 s c in end ch, working on other side of ch, work 1 s c in each st, 2 s c in same st as 1st s c. (More)
Small Circle. Ch 4, join to form a ring, ch 1 and work 6 s c in ring. Without joining rounds work 7 more rounds of s c increasing a sufficient number of times to keep work flat, having 40 sts in last s c round, sl st in next st, ch 1, turn and with wrong side of work toward you, work 1 loop st in each s c, increasing to keep work flat. Rug. With Dk Green ch 71, 1 s c in 2nd st from hook, 1 s c in each of the next 9 sts of ch, attach Lt Green and work 1 s c in each of the next 33 sts of ch carrying the Dk Green in back of work working over the Dk Green, with Dk Green work 1 s c in each of the next 27 sts of ch carrying the Lt Green in back of work and working over the Lt Green, ch 1, turn. When changing Color, always complete the last half of st with next Color. (More)

With Rust: Ch 52 and work in Afghan st as follows, pick up 2nd st from hook and each remaining st of ch, leaving all loops on needle, work back by drawing yarn through 1st loop, * yarn over needle and draw through 2 loops, repeat from * to end of row (51 sts).
2nd Row. Same as 1st row picking up the vertical yarn instead of ch and work back the same way. Repeat 2nd row 49 times. (More)
