LILY DOUBLE QUICK Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Art. 50: 1 skein Aqua and 1¼ skeins White.

No. 3 Steel Crochet Hook.

SIZE — 18 inches.

Starting in center with White, ch 6, join with sl st to form ring.

RND 1: Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join with sc in 1st sc. Drop White.

RND 2: Attach Aqua to next sc, ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 1, dc in next sc, (ch 1, tr) twice in next sc, (ch 1, dtr) twice in next 2 sc, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next 6 sc. Drop Aqua.

RND 3: With White, make (sc, ch 3, sc) twice in next ch-3 sp, (sc, ch 3, sc) in next 19 sps. Drop White.

RND 4: Attach a 2d White skein to sc at base of final tr tr in Rnd 2, make a shell of sc, ch 3, sc in center sp of each shell around. Drop White.

RND 5: With Aqua make (ch 1, tr tr) 3 times in next 5 shells, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in remaining 16 shells. Drop Aqua.

RND 6: With 1st White make a shell in each ch-1 sp around. Drop White.

RND 7: With 2d White, make a shell in each shell around. Drop White. With Aqua, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next 4 shells. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * ch 1, tr tr in next shell, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next 3 shells; repeat from * once. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * ch 1, tr tr in next shell, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next 2 shells; repeat from * twice. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * ch 1, tr tr in next shell, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next shell; repeat from * 17 times. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * (ch 1, tr tr in next shell) twice, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next shell; repeat from * 21 times. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * (ch 1, tr tr in next shell) 3 times, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next shell; repeat from * 24 times. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * (ch 1, tr tr in next shell) 4 times, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next shell; repeat from * 18 times. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7. With Aqua, * (ch 1, tr tr in next shell) 5 times, (ch 1, tr tr) twice in next shell; repeat from * 9 times; (ch 1, tr tr in next shell) twice, ch 10, sl st in next shell. Fasten off. Repeat Rnds 6 & 7 to end, making 5 shells in final ch-10 sp. Fasten off.

Stretch and pin Mat right-side-down. Steam and press dry thru a cloth.
